Disclosure up front: Lobstachowda runs a competing reselling community, and this page contains an affiliate link. Rather than ask you to trust our opinion of a competitor, here are our measurements.
We scored 44,289 Profit Lounge posts against eBay sold comps
We have been logging Profit Lounge channels into a database since 30 April 2026 and pricing every post against real eBay sold data. Over 87 days that is 44,289 posts — more raw volume than any other community we monitor.
- 9,053 could be priced against sold comps we trust.
- 196 cleared our buy bar — 2.17% of the posts we could price.
- That clear rate is higher than Deal Soldier’s 1.66% on the identical filter over the identical window.
The bar was the same for both: at least 40% margin and at least $10 net per unit, after eBay fees and after shipping we would absorb.
The finding that actually matters: it is an Amazon feed
The clear rate is the headline people expect. The channel mix is the number that should decide whether you join.
Here is where Profit Lounge’s volume actually came from in our logs:
- 12,204 posts — FBA, items over $70
- 12,048 posts — FBA, items under $70
- 5,867 posts — Amazon business, over $70
- 5,250 posts — Woot
- 1,722 posts — warehouse deals
Roughly two thirds of the volume is explicitly aimed at Amazon FBA sellers. If you sell on Amazon, that is exactly what you want and this is a serious feed. If you sell on eBay, a large share of what lands in your notifications is pointed at a platform you do not use, with different fee maths and different velocity.
This also explains our own weakest number
78.5% of Profit Lounge posts returned no usable eBay sold comp for us — a higher unpriceable rate than any other source we track. That is not evidence their deals are bad. It is largely what happens when you score an Amazon-oriented feed against eBay sold data. The mismatch is ours, not theirs, and we would rather say so than let a big scary percentage sit there implying something it does not.
Where it is strong
- Volume. The highest raw post count of any community we monitor, by a wide margin.
- FBA focus. Genuinely useful segmentation for Amazon sellers — price-banded channels let you filter by capital per unit rather than wading through everything.
- Best clear rate we measured. On our narrow eBay-oriented filter it still edged out the larger general community, which is a real result given the platform mismatch working against it.
Who should join
- You sell on Amazon FBA, or you are seriously planning to.
- You want high volume and are comfortable filtering hard.
- You have the capital to buy in FBA-appropriate quantities rather than single units.
Who should not
- You are eBay-only. Most of this feed is not built for you.
- You flip tools, outdoor or powersports specifically.
- You source rural or small-town shelves, where posted stock frequently will not match what you can actually find.
- You want fewer, better alerts rather than more of them.

How we are different
Lobstachowda is the opposite trade-off. One lane — tools, outdoor and powersports clearance at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Tractor Supply and Walmart — weighted toward rural and small-town inventory, sold on eBay, with buy-cost to sold-comp maths attached instead of a screenshot. Far fewer alerts, aimed at one platform.
If you are building an FBA business, Profit Lounge is the better tool and we will happily say so. If you are flipping tool markdowns in a small town and listing them on eBay, we built ours for you.
Frequently asked questions
Is Profit Lounge better than Deal Soldier?
On our filter it cleared a higher share of priceable posts, 2.17% against 1.66%. But they are aimed at different sellers: Profit Lounge skews Amazon FBA, Deal Soldier is broader general merchandise. Pick on platform fit, not on the decimal.
Is it worth it for eBay sellers?
Less so, and our channel data is the reason. You would be paying for a feed whose largest channels are pointed at Amazon. Some Woot and warehouse-deal content crosses over, but you are not the primary audience.
Does a low clear rate mean the deals are bad?
No. It means few posts cleared our bar, on our platform, in our categories. A 40% margin and $10 net floor is stricter than many resellers use, and we are scoring an Amazon-leaning feed against eBay sold prices. Both facts push the number down.
If it fits your lane after reading the above, you can check Profit Lounge here (affiliate link). If it does not, we would rather you kept your money.
