Disclosure up front: Lobstachowda runs a competing reselling community, and this page contains an affiliate link. We think you should know both of those things before you read our opinion of a competitor. What follows is the least biased thing we can offer instead: measurements.
Is Deal Soldier legit? (short answer)
Yes — as a real product that does what it says. Deal Soldier is a paid clearance-alert community sold through Whop. On this site we already disclose that we hold a paid membership and that this page includes an affiliate link. Legit and profitable for your ZIP code are different questions.
Public listing context (checked 2026-10-29): the Whop store page for Deal Soldier lists founder Sean Sweeney and shows a large member/review base on Whop (whop.com/deal-soldier). Ratings and member counts move; re-check before you treat any number as current. Third-party roundups commonly describe a 7-day trial then about $44 per 30 days — confirm live pricing on Whop before you join.
What we can stand behind without hedging is our own measurement: 28,773 Deal Soldier posts logged across 11 channels from 30 April to 2 August 2026, scored against eBay sold comps, with a buy bar of 40% margin and $10 net after fees and absorbed shipping. Of posts we could price, 1.66% cleared that bar. That is a filter result, not a star rating of the community.
Deal Soldier reviews — what public members say vs what we measured
Most public Deal Soldier reviews live on Whop, where feedback is tied to the membership product. Themes that show up repeatedly in public write-ups of those reviews (as of late October 2026): people who live near several big-box stores report useful finds; people in quieter or rural areas report fewer usable hits; stock can be gone by the time you arrive; Discord takes a day or two to learn. Those are clearance problems and location problems, not proof the product is fake.
Our page is not another five-star summary. It is a scored feed against a stated buy bar. Profit Lounge cleared a slightly higher share of priceable posts on the same bar (2.17% vs 1.66%). We publish that on purpose. If you want the star-rating view, read Whop. If you want the “would we buy it” view, stay on this page.

We ran 28,773 Deal Soldier alerts through eBay sold comps
Most Deal Soldier reviews are written by people who joined for a month and formed an impression. We did something different. We hold a paid membership and we have been logging eleven Deal Soldier channels into a database since 30 April 2026, then scoring every post against real eBay sold prices.
Over 87 days, that is 28,773 posts. Here is what happened to them.
- 8,427 could be priced against sold comps we trust.
- 140 cleared our buy bar — 1.66% of the posts we could price.
- Of everything that cleared, across all sources, median net profit was $29.63 per unit.
What “our buy bar” means
A number like 1.66% is meaningless without the threshold behind it, so here it is: at least 40% margin and at least $10 net profit per unit, after eBay fees and after shipping we would absorb. That is a stricter bar than a lot of resellers use. Run a looser one and more posts clear. Run a tighter one and fewer do.
Three things this data does not say
We would rather undercut our own headline than overstate it.
- The posts we could not price are not proof of bad deals. Roughly two thirds of what we ingested returned no usable sold comps. That is a limitation of our comp data, not a verdict on the item. Anyone telling you “X% of their deals are unsellable” is misreading the same number.
- Profit Lounge scored slightly better than Deal Soldier on our bar — 2.17% of priceable posts versus 1.66%. If we only published the number that flattered us, you should not trust the rest of the page either.
- A low clear rate is not automatically a criticism. These communities post volume and let members filter. Our filter is narrow on purpose.
What Deal Soldier actually is
It is a paid Discord community for retail arbitrage — clearance and markdown alerts across Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Ross and others, plus sourcing tools and an active member base. It is one of the largest communities of its kind, and the scale is real: eleven channels producing tens of thousands of posts a quarter is genuine coverage.
Where it is strong
- Breadth. Broad category and retailer coverage, which matters if you source opportunistically rather than in one lane.
- Community. Members post finds, regional stock differences and sanity checks in real time. For a newer reseller, watching experienced people evaluate a deal is worth something on its own.
- Speed. Deals surface fast, which is the whole game on clearance.
Where it fits us badly — and might fit you badly
This is the part our data speaks to most clearly. Of the qualifying alerts we logged across all monitored communities, only 5 were power tools and 8 were outdoor gear. The overwhelming majority were general merchandise, electronics and apparel.
If you flip tools, outdoor equipment or powersports — and especially if you source from rural and small-town stores rather than dense metros — a broad general-merch feed will mostly show you things you do not buy, in stores that do not carry the same stock you see.
Who should join
- You source general merchandise, electronics or apparel.
- You are in or near a metro with dense retail coverage.
- You already sell consistently and want more volume to filter, not hand-holding.
- You value an active community as much as the alerts themselves.
Who should not
- You are rural or small-town and keep finding that posted deals never match your local shelves.
- Your lane is tools, outdoor or powersports specifically.
- You have not made your first several flips yet. No alert feed substitutes for knowing what a good buy looks like.
- You expect a subscription to produce profit by itself. It produces opportunities. The evaluation is still yours.

How we are different
Lobstachowda is deliberately narrow. We cover tools, outdoor and powersports clearance at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Tractor Supply and Walmart, with a bias toward rural and small-town inventory — the stores a metro-weighted feed tends to miss. Fewer alerts, one lane, and buy-cost to sold-comp math attached rather than a screenshot.
That is a worse product for a general-merch flipper in Dallas and a better one for somebody working Tractor Supply markdowns in south central Tennessee. Pick accordingly.
Frequently asked questions
Is Deal Soldier legit?
Yes. It is an established community that delivers what it describes — a large volume of clearance and markdown alerts plus an active member base. Whether it is legitimate and whether it is right for your lane are separate questions.
Will it make me money?
It will show you opportunities. Whether they convert depends on your local stock, your selling platform, your fees and your judgment. On our own narrow filter, 1.66% of priceable posts were worth buying — which is a normal result for a broad feed and a tight filter, not an indictment.
Deal Soldier or Profit Lounge?
On our measurements Profit Lounge cleared a slightly higher share of priceable posts, 2.17% against 1.66%. That gap is small enough that lane fit and community preference should decide it, not the decimal. We compare both in more detail on our Discord groups page.
Is it good for beginners?
It is better once you can evaluate a deal yourself. The feed assumes you know your fees, your comps and your categories. Learn that first and the same subscription is worth considerably more.
If it fits your lane after reading the above, you can check Deal Soldier here (affiliate link). If it does not, we would rather you kept your money.
